I love helping other people with their problems, which is why I decided to start an advice column of my own! So if you ever need advice on almost anything, you can ask me! ^_^

Okay, lately in school I've been kinda failing. But within the past week I've brought some of my grades from an "F" to a "C" or "D". But, my mom says that if I have any "F"s on my next grade report I can't go on to high school next year. Even though I still have 1 more trimester left. I have 1 "F" and there is no possible way to bring it up because my next grade report comes out next week and the teachers had to turn their grades in yesterday. I really want to go on to high school but I won't be able to with this "F". What should I do?

A trimester is enough time to bring your grade up. High school is a bit strict with entry requirements, so yes you might get held back if you get any more F's because it all becomes averaged into a final grade at the end of the school year and you wouldn't want an F for your average. There are a few options you can do..
1) study harder
2) have a friend help you with the work
3) summer school

When at school, sometimes I kinda go crazy by taking the seagulls from off the grass and eating them, and then I throw rocks and berries at my friends. Just yesterday, I went streaking and painted myself in tiger stripes through math class. In the computer lab I take all the cds and break them. I've broken a computer one time too. Also I eat pages of textbooks when teachers don't watch. I burned some of the books in the library and then ate them. (Actually, they're pretty tasty with some ketchup.) Last week I jumped on a lunch table and pissed on a yard duty. I am 26 years old and I am still in the 8th grade. Is this normal?

my friend thinks it's funny that she's not doing her homework. Every time we try to talk to her, she doesn't listen. She's failing and i don't know wht to do. (link)

Tell her that this isn't a laughing matter. If she continues to not do her homework, she might fail the class and be held back. Then she'd be in school forever!! Ahh!

I have come to a conclusion.
My conclusion is: I am physically incapable of paying attention in algebra. I'm dead serious. I look DIRECTLY at the teacher, follow along in the book EXACTLY, and block out the sounds of Rick and Betsy ENTIRELY but I just CANNOT take in a word she says! When I was in regular math, I got all C's. Then I was moved to PreAlgebra and got 98's for a whole year. Now I'm in stinking algebra and starting to get C's again.
Have you ever been in a room with two people speaking a completely forigen language? You can listen and hear everyword, but it doesn't process in your brain. Welcome to math class. Another reason may be because I have it first class (8:00-9:45am) and the 13-year-old brain doesn't start fully functioning untill about 10. I'm just ALWAYS thinking about something else, usually my boyfriend, but sometime's I'll just read through class and then fail all the tests and homework. How can I get this into my brain??(sorry this was long)

Maybe try having after or before school tutoring where you can be more focused :)
