I am 17, living in New England.

I have a brother (6) and a sister (11) and two parents who I get along with really well. (it's not always easy!)

I like writing poetry and music. I play piano and guitar (and a little bass). I love reading, shopping, and being stupid with my friends and my boyfriend.

I like giving advice because I love writing, connecting with people, and sharing things I've learned.

Ask me anything and I'll try and help! :-)

Some areas of expertise: long distance relationships (my boyfriend is 3 states away at college!), family stuff (I have learned how to tame parents, haha!), messy breakups, makeup tips, and anything about clothes!

Ok, my best friend is having a pool party at the end of the school year. I know it's far off but there are supposed to be a TON of people there. The problem is, I don't have much of a chest. I mean there's something there, just not alot of something. I want to wear a bikini but I don't know what type of top is gonna make my chest look a little more curvy. Help, I will rate 5's. (link)
Hey!

Anything with a v-neck or a halter top balances out a small chest. Princess seams and strong, bold colors also offer a way to use your smaller frame to your advantage.

Lastly, I know it seems crazy, but it is true that confidence is the most important ingredient. I have seen girls with teeny chests, chubbier girls, and regular sized ones all be more popular because they were geniune, smiled a lot, and were comfortable with themselves. Get yourself a halter and a spoonful of confidence and you will go far! :)

Hope this helps!

any one gotta clue where to buy low rise jeans in the mall that arent that expensive like maybe under 25ish? tell me the store and how much they cost, why thanks! (link)
Try department stores, particularly JCPenney and Filenes. They have really awesome sales really often and their juniors departments are full of cute low-rise jeans.

Happy Shopping!

I'm thinking of getting bangs. Like not the kind that goes all the way around and is in front. Side bangs I guess you could call them. I part my hair to the side. I have brown hair, and it's a little past my shoulders. It's straight too. Do you think that this is a good idea? I don't want them to be extremely long though or anything. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and if so does this sound like a good idea or do you think it will look good? (link)
I just cut mine like that a few months ago. If you have a face that is oval, rectangular, or heart shaped, it will look great. Avoid this cut with a round face.

Also, be sure to let the stylist know EXACTLY how long you want the bangs, otherwise you could end up with embarassingly short ones for a month or two (like me!!) luckily they grow out, but save yourself the hassle.

Lastly, be sure you don't have a cowlick or anything in the front, otherwise your bangs will stick up! uhoh!

i will dye my hair medium brown (my hair is naturally dark blonde) with an at home kit---at first it will look REALLY good...but the color fades in like 10 days!! it makes no sense..how do i get the color to stay? (i use color protectant shampoo). do i need to get it professionally foiled? (link)
If you're using a color-protectant shampoo, and a dye that is marked as permanent, you may just need it done by a pro.
