About askshannon

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, body thouroughly used up totally worn out screaming "WOO HOO What A Ride!"

I do not know it all, but I feel like I have been through enough experiences to offer some sort of help. I am the person everyone says should be a shrink. I love to give my 2 cents and if it can help in the process all the better. I love to travel and live on a farm with a fantastic family.
Things I feel like I know alot about:
Diets!! I have done them all. I feel pretty confident I can help with most questions on this issue.
Love and Life. I have been there for the most part. There are a few places I haven't been and really don't want to go.
I believe that open minds are the best kind. You can give advice without judgement.
Love, hate, confusion, weight, happiness and mistakes are all part of life. Sometimes you need help. If you want a straight forward sensible answer I will definately give it to you.

Hey, What's the best flat iron brand?
I've had my current hair straightener for a little over a year and it's not working very good anymore, it's a Conair. I was looking for something a little more expensive and higher quality. I can't spend any more than 70 dollars.
I need pictures, details, how good it works and where I can buy it.

Thank you!

About a month ago I bought one from Hot Tools it was $50.00 at a professional beauty supply store. It is a professional grade and is model 1199V2. It has 1 1/2" plates and a curved sides.
My friend also has this one and we both love it. I do not have any pictures but here is the web site www.HelenofTroyUSA.com
If this doesn't work go to a professional beauty supply store they can compare them for you and let you know the pro's and con's of each one.

My family is far from rich. My mom and dad are both on social security. I only have one pair of jeans and it's emarrasing. I have to wear the same pair of jeans every other school day and everybody notices. I've had these pair of jeans for over a year now and they are so worn out. The insides of them are so holy. And they are so washed out. I have no money to go out to buy any jeans. I don't know what to do. Can anyone help?

This makes me so sad. I do not know what type of resources you have where you live. Around here there are places you can check such as a church organization. They usually have days that you can go get what you might need with no payment or questions asked.
Have you talked to your school counselor? Maybe they can steer you in the right direction either towards earning some money for new clothes or somewhere to get some.
Keep your chin up because you are not what you wear and one day you will use this as an experience to help you be a stronger better person. I am sure if you really look into it you can figure it out.

whats a good volumizing product? [examples: shampoo, serums, cremes, contioners, mousse, sprays] and a good brand for hair and will not damage alot. (volumizing=i meant to give a lot of volume to ur hair cus i have thin hair)

2nd question
whats a good eyeliner tat lasts all day and wont smuge and puts alot of black into your eye (which will actually make your eyes small)?

3rd and a good mascara that will give you thick lashes i meant thick BLACK eyelashes =]

As far as mousse try Matrix Amplify Volumizing System #3. Hairspray that is great TIGI Bed Head Masterpeice, but it does have strong hold.
An eyeliner that I LOVE is estee lauder artists eye pencil in black.
The best mascara in the world as far as I am concerned is Dior. Try these I am sure you will love them!

what do you think makes someone classy, sophisticated, or elegant?

what about their apperance or attitude makes them seem that way?

i want to be classy.

im talking jennifer aniston/kelly rowan classy.

so what do you guys think?

The people I know that I consider classy are:
Genuine when they say something they really mean it.
They don't trash others no mater what they may be thinking.
They have the ability of choosing perfect hair styles, makeup and clothing.
They are beautiful because of their actions not their genetics.
They always give the perfect gift and show up to just say "Hi" when you feel like everyone else is to busy.
Class in and of itself is not something that you can just come by or purchase. It takes effort and sincerity.
