About onebirddog2000

I am a straight guy and will graduate in 2011 and I love science. I want get a few degrees in the same field. I would like to become an RN and get extra training to become a neonatal level 3 nurse(critically ill newborns) I would like to earn my bachelors and masters in nursing and then become a "neonatal nurse practitioner" which is the second highest level in nursing. I like helping others and volunteering. I am very close to my grandma. I used to have a dog named "Spike" and we had to put him down because his organs were beginning to shut down.

I want to try and get into Yale. I know it's a lot of work. Can someone tell me all the qualifications and stuff?

i couldn't really find it on the website.

also do colleges like that have everything? like if i wanted to do fashion would they have courses on stuff like that?

thanks to anyone who can help!

Looking at the academics as I thought Yale doesn't even offer any fashion design courses. But you should get into a more rewarding job, like nursing.

I really want to get into my schools BUT i'm not doing any honors classes, and i'm most likely not going to be valadictorian. I'm in 8th grade and am going to high school in Augest. I don't really care if I don't have a life in high school...as long as i get into my top 1-2 --i really want to go to those. 3-want to go but want to go to top 1-2 more!

please help all advice welcome!

Hi,

Well, that's what they look for is valedvictorian or a salutorian that takes (ap) advanced placement classes, get's straight A's and is involved in alot of academic curricular activities like being in certain academic clubs. Get on High Honor Roll. I hope you're a freshman or below. The colleges will look at all your high school academic records, classes you took, pass/fail any of them. They also look for a volunteering good, no criminal acts. You could get scholarships for those schools as well as grants. But in the long run if you want to get into a good school, any college could be a great college I used to want to go to and IV League school to. It's harder than it looks on tv, you can't really party, you'll spend 80% of you time studying and if you're a junior or senior your pretty much screwed. I hope you get into and IV League school, but you'll also be spending most of your time after college paying off your student loans. I personally want to go to a University, of which is far from and IV league school but it is a smaller university and the cheapest of all University wisconsin colleges and the professors no you by name and what your in school for, plus you can get one on one attention from the teacher. They also so go to the following site. Richland.uwc.com it has a great campus I toured it about a week or two ago with my classmates and loved it.

Why try to go to a college that has very expectations, you could go to a much better school. IV League Universities are very picky and personally I wouldn't want to be somewhere that don't except me for whom I am...

I hope you take my advice and good luck.

Sincerely,

thanks for your help.

how do you know all this?

i have some more questions, if that's okay.

this is my question:

what letters of recommendation do you need for johns hopkins university?

this is your answer:

onebirddog2000 answered Monday July 23 2007, 5:56 pm:
you need teacher, atleast a "B" average in highschool, good in science/ have a masters degree in medicine, taken atleast 2 foreign languages, be taken these following classes:
biology/ chemistry/ try/ calculus/ physical science/ and mainly health career classes...

are you sure i only need a "B" average? isnt JHU one of the top schools out there? good in science..hmm i have a B in pretty much every class but i take advanced classes like HNS and AP only.

sorry to get back to you so late you might need A-'s but, I'm pretty sure you need at least a B average, as long as you try your best their are other good medical schools in the US. Granted John Hopkins is the 2nd highest medical School in the united states you can try harvard, yale, UW Madison Wisconsin, Ann Arbor Michigian, They are also good. To be a good doctor or what ever your going for, and IV league school may make the place you want to work at think your top notch because you have a degree from harvard, yale, or JHU, to be successful you need to help or study for the people and stop worrying about which college you go to. Colleges and other Universities are just as good as and IV league school. The only difference that at the IV league schools they are rich preppie people who's parents bought their way into school or you were really smart in school and think that your better than anyone at everything...

I wish you luck in or on what you decide to do, I hope you stay in medicine you would be good for something in health...

Sincerely,

Bird
