This year I am captain of my jv cheer squad. I am a sophomore. For next year, I'm captain again on jv, and I will be one of the oldest. I'd say I had a pretty good year as captain, my team listened ok, but I feel like they didnt listen to me respectfully, like they didnt always seem to respect what I said. I know that comes with being captain..but anyways for next years squad, its a bunch of new girls idk, except for 2, so i want some advice on ways to make my new squad respect me and know that im captain, but that I AM going to be reasonable and not a huge b*tch like everyone things captains are. What Im really asking is basically just give me some advice for the new squad that starts next month..we are also going to camp this year for the first time, and my coach wont be there so shes really counting on me. but i want the girls to listen and respect me like they should. and im not one of the captains that think im all that, i do respect everyone elses opinions, i just want more respect myself. thanks!!!!! =D (link)
you need to show your leadership skills. and if their not listening to you you may have to be more aggresive and show that your the leader. to get them to listen you cant be to nice or to mean you have to be just right

theres only so much i can do. next year my dream is to play soccer for my middle school team.. im in 8th grade, and i didnt make the team while i was in 7th. i've only played 3 seasons of rec soccer and then i couldnt really run that fast.. i mean i can run fast in games, because im determined to kick the other players asses, but when we just have to run freely i dont really have motivation, and get tired easily. so i bombed that and didnt even make the B team. im wondering what to do.. cross country, and get better at running, or go for my soccer dreams again? or i was wondering if they'd let me join cross country (you dont need to try out fot it) if i dont make it into soccer.. though i'd miss the first practice for cross country which is the same day as soccer tryouts. ugh, i really wanna play a sport. and in winter i've been playing basketball for many years in recreation, but i dont think im that good enough for the school team. well i didnt try out last year cause i was in a diff club, but i dunno about that, since im also doing club volleyball (theres no school team) in the winter. along with that, i wanna do dance during the year and i cant do too much stuff in the fall, like if i dont make my school soccer team i can join club soccer for the first time, well if i make it hopefully, and i cant do cross country, dance, soccer, while maintaining good grades. ugh but i really wanna do it all. it sucks that i like so many sports but i have to give some up cause im either not good (im only really good at vball but the school team is in high school) or i dont have enough time or money for. what do you think i choose? im so confused and i have to hand my permission slip for school soccer or cross country in like 10 days. :( (link)
you an i are a lot alike i try out for soccer in 7 grade and didnt make this is what i did. i did wrestling to condition myelf for soccer then i found a soccer position that i worked best at. in 7 i try offense ran to slow didnt make it next tried goalie my other position i played in peewee soccer made starting goalie and our team was city champs moved on to 9 and now im on the verge of being a starter for the b team i havent beenscored on all season. but wrestling helped alot i was better condition an good out run anyone.

Hi, I'm about to play a grand final game for soccer next saturday and my coach wants me to play forward (attack).

How can i "get past the goalie"??

Any tips will be helpful!

Thanks in advance.

im a goalie and i help you out. the intimidate trick deos work on weaker goalies but to get past the elite goalie is to analyse everything they do like when they go to catch the ball how they dive their goalie position is the most important thing to analyse it will be easy to score if the goalie is out of position rather than in position. it is also important to know their reflexes, speed, and hieght. many goalie are good at different things lik im good at stopping breakaways but my diving sucks. little things like that can determine if you score

Im a sophmore and just started playing soccer this year. I'm not a starter and i really want to prove that I can play good. I want to play defense. The problem is I basically have no motivation to play hard, people such as my mom and sister are putting me down saying I cant do it. I almost want to quit, but I need advice on how to get myself motivated and focused and more energized. Any soccer advice would be appreciated. =] (link)
i dont exacly play as a defender but im am a goalie and people say the goalie is the captian of the defense. when our a defender you have to stay focused and listen to you goalie. whensome ap;proches you many like to try and kick the ballwhich is wrong instead you hold you your ground and dont let him get past you if he jukes you dont go after the ball without getting in the enemies way also dont be afraid to kick the ball out of play. also their is another captain of the defense the sweeper listen to the sweeper because without a doybt he is going to be the elite defender. finally protect the goal at all costs because if it gets by you the only thing standing in the way of a goal is a goalie. and dont listen to the other guy about the under classmen thing becuase its not true. its hard to be a beginner and starter b/c the others have more experince believe me. im a freshmen goalie and the only one not to be scored on and i dont start simply becuase the starter is a junior and more skilled than i am. believe my advice i promise it will help it helped others.

Ok well im a small and skinny girl who plays soccer. I cant kick very far. does anybody know any exercises i could do that could help me kick farther when kicking a soccer ball. (link)
their are also tricks to help you kick farther. when you kick swing you hips with your leg. when your getting ready to kick take big step before you kick it and hit it full force. finally if you kick the lower half of the ball it will send it farther.
