"I love waking up in the morning not knowing what's gonna happen or, who I'm gonna meet, or where I'm gonna wind up. I figure life's a gift and I don't intend on wasting it. You don't know what hand you're gonna get dealt next."
"I believe in colors. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner.I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."

its too hot to run outside, but i train for cross country . what swimming exercises can i do to build up my endurance? i try to run 2.5 - 3 miles everyday but i havent the last 3 days AT ALL cause its just too hot.
trying running at night, or later in the day when it gets cooler. or if you're a morning person you can go before it starts to get hot.

i want to start surfing, i'm 17 though. would that be too late to start?? because, like ballet, if start late it'd be kinda impossible because you wouldn't be as flexible or something.. and are there any exercises i can do to make the first experience on a surf board easier? thanks.
it's never too late to start surfing! learning how to surf was one of the best, memorable experiences of my life haha. there isn't really an exercise that you can do but you need to have strong arms because you're pretty much always paddling. and if you own a board you can practice the "pop up" youtube it and make you sure know that before getting in the water. good luck! :)
Quick question for anyone that plays softball or baseball, does the shoes you wear ever get stuck to the ground, kind of. like when you walk through grass after it rained will your shoes kind of get stuck or rip out the grass or dirt?
yeah when the fields get muddy your cleats can get full of mud and grass...theres nothing you can really do but just hit your shoes together or hit it with the bat to get it out every once in awhile so you don't slip.
Hi, I'm pretty new to snowboarding and I'm excited to buy my first new board. I'm getting the Burton Feather for Women, which is designed to help the learning process for women that are new to snowboarding.
I was wondering, if I got the Rossignol HC Zena Snowboard Bindings, would I have the ability to mount them on to my board? Or do I have to buy Burton bindings? Also, would any style of snowboard boots fit in these bindings? (I'm getting Salomon)
I cannot ask anyone in store seeing as I'm buying online (I found great deals on snowboarding equipment in an online store) and I can't find anything about it elsewhere.
Thanks for your time!
hey i'm pretty sure you can put any bindings on the board. you might have to go to a shop and have them do it for you though, because some are difficult. and yes you can wear any boots as long as they're meant for snowboarding, they should fit fine.
For Cross Country, our last home meet is our Senior night. The juniors and underclassmen decorate the locker room and we get them each gifts. I am a junior and a captain this year so I want to try to make this night really nice for them so we are trying to start early (last home meet is in two weeks.)
We only have 5 girl seniors, so I was thinking of collecting 5 dollars from the 13 other girls on the team and get them blankets, popcorn, a mug, and some hot chocolate for meets and whatnot.
We have about 9 boy seniors. The thing is we do not know what to get them. There are about 15 other guys on the team, so we'll collect money from them and get them each something, but we don't know what to get them..
Does anyone have any suggestions for gifts for the Senior boys, even girls too would be apperitiated.
maybe you can get them shirts and have like a team picture on them and a bunch of balloons, or maybe sweatshirts with WE LOVE OUR SENIORS and then all of their names on the back..just some ideas =)
I believe it's possible for me to get a right & left leg split by the end of summer (note my exlusion of the straddle split..hahaha) So..um..how should I go about it? I know I have to practice..but like..how often should I do it/do I hold or bounce/etcetc..
(ps gymnastics tryouts are on august 31!)ty in advance
hey, when i was learning to do a right & left leg split i tried to go as far as i could then hold it for 20 seconds (for each leg). i did it 2 times every day. in about a month i was able to do a split, right & left leg. good luck making the team!
:]
I just bought/rented a lot of clothes and equipment to go skiing within the next few weeks. I've never gone before. I'm pretty excited but I wanted to also try snowboarding. Would learning to ski first be a better idea? I heard it would be easier to learn that but I wanted some more opinions... could I do both in one day or should I wait till next time to snowboard?
i tried both and thought that skiing was easier to learn. now i'm a snowboarder because once you can ski, it's easier to learn to snowboard. i thought snowboarding was way more fun but if you don't have very good balance i suggest you stick with skiing, because with snowboarding you need to lean back on your heels to stop and if you don't have very good balance whenever you go to stop you'll just fall. you should probably just take a ski day then go some other time to go snowboarding. it will help you get used to it and it will also give you more time to pick which one you like better :]
have fun :]
