I'm 19, just graduated from high school. I have a boyfriend, his name is Josh, and I love him. I am pretty good at giving advice. I'm just not ever any good at taking my own advice. haha Always have been. I can help everyone else except for myself.

advice

my mom keeps telling me to do chores like take out the trash, do the dishes, and other stuff.but when i ask her to help she says it's not her job. so i ask then what is your job. and she says to be the mom. and so after that she orders me to do the dishs. and i say you do them. and she says you have to earn your keep. and so i say you dont earn your keep you dont even have a job. so i get grounded. why sould i work when my mom dos'nt. i dont think i was put on this planet to do dishes. and im not her robot. but i dont wanna be grounded. should i alpolage and destroy my pride or should i hold my feet down and stay grounded.

Believe it or not, most kids have to do chores. She pays for you to go places and see movies and stuff like that, doesn't she?? She pays for your food and your clothing, takes you back and forth to school... she raised you... it doesn't seem like she's asking for much... Next time she asks you to do something, your best bet is to do it and just be thankful she doesn't have you doing more than what she does. Good luck!

my mom just got married,so i have a stepdad...i don't like him cause he doesnt do nothin & tells me what to do...all he does is sit in his ''spider man'' underwear & watches buffy-the-vampire...how do i try to get along with him????

Well first off, this man (who is not even your real father) should not be walkign around in nothing but his underwear around you. That's just kind've odd. Second, talk to your mom. Tell her how you feel and maybe she can arrange something for the two of you. :)
