my step-dad made me download mozilla firefox because it is supposed to be better than microsoft internet explorer.. so my question is.. is it really better? and i also am having a problem seeing my mail on optium online (link)

your stepdad is a smart man. Firefox blocks alot of the crap that you get with IE.
If you are having trouble opening optium mail in Firefox then just use IE to read that mail, but overall Firefox is much safer to use for random browsing than IE.

You should thank your lucky stars you were born in the US to wealthy parents. There are millions of people so hungry right now they would give their first born to have the scraps your bloated American family throws out. There are also thousands of American kids who just turned 16 who are driving a 93 Galant.
Be happy you have such a manly gas guzzling SUV to terrorize the public with.
If the navigation system isn't working, take it back to the dealership. I'm sure dad and mom will do anything to make their little boy happy.
