about

Hey i'm Maddie and i'm 16 and i have a 10 month old daughter Shiloh Taylor who is my world :) I might seem young but I have gained alot of knowledge throughout my years and I love to help so ask away!

advice

I am a little confused with Degrassi. If you watch it, can you please explain to me what "The Boiling Point" is. Is it all the new episodes that are coming out? and I just finished what a girl wants, part 1 and my dvr cut me off. I saw Fiona putting makeup on her scratch from her boyfriend, what happened after that? Thanks!

the boiling point is just their new series of episodes basically. there just calling it that to hype everything up basically and get you to watch it.

I want as many opinions as I can get. You can even share your experiences. :) So tonight I went to a Boys Like Girls concert, but Kaci Battaglia, Push Play, and Hey Monday also performed for the annual Pink Ribbon Event. It was AMAZING!! :) The thing is, they came down here to Kansas, close to Wichita which is where I live. I appreciate that so much! I was so happy I was able to go, but it all just seemed sooo surreal to me. Has anybody ever felt or thought like this? It's like you can't quite realize reality, and that there's someone FAMOUS, a celebrity, right there in front of you. I was a good 12 ft or more away from the stage; I never thought it would happen, ever. This has been the CLOSEST I've ever been to someone famous; seeing them IN PERSON! :o You know how there are things thrown out to the audience? Do you ever feel jealous or envious of others who get things like t-shirts, water bottles, or use towels or something? I do, then I start to have this feeling of sadness, like I'll never be THAT lucky to ever experience anything like that. Again, it just seems all surreal. I find it amazing how it seems like I'll never be lucky enough, but these people who live pretty close to me are lucky! I mean, this is KANSAS. Not many people come out here to perform in Kansas, let alone want to... I understand that though, because they perform in high populated areas right? And/or convienent locations for other high populated areas. So it just sucks because I don't think I'll ever be able to see other artists perform live, unless they're close. :\ Does anyone else feel or think the same as I do for the following? You know how musicians are like, "I/WE LOVE YOU ____ CITY! Keep rockin'! You guys are great! You're an awesome city! This song we're about to sing was inspired by a state, and who knows, we love you so much Kansas that maybe we'll write a next song about you guys!" (that happened tonight, Martin from BLG said it...) Do you ever think that they don't ever mean it? They just say it, just to perform? It gets the crowd really hyped, but I can't help but think they don't mean it at all. They just want a good performance. Is it so weird that I think like this? I felt overwhelmed tonight. Freaking successful artists, RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU. Lol x) but then I started thinking, "Geez, so these people are famous! They're celebrities! But wait, they're human too, just like everyone else. Yet they're so special, and loved by MANY." You know what I mean? I just felt so amazed tonight. I'm also feeling so envious of others right now. They're so lucky, and others are even lucky enough to be able to drive out of state, or really far to see musicians perform live. I highly doubt my parents would drive me far, let alone allow me to go out of state to see a concert. Strict parents. ;-; :\ So what do you guys think? Is it weird that I feel this way? What are your guys' opinions? I'd really love it if someone would share their personal experiences too. :) Lastly, does anyone have any advice on how I could get 'lucky', and possibly be able to score spots at the very front of the stage, or be able to get 'souvenirs' from artists? :D

yeah when i go to concerts i feel the same way as you! because there people you listen to all the time and idolize and know all the words to all their songs and then there RIGHT THERE and your like ahhh!!!
ive been to, gosh i dont even know how many concerts, and i still get that same feeling, my pulse racing and my body heating up and my energy level skyrocketing! its so fun!
my first concert was 3Oh!3 and i passed out because i was so hot! i was in the middle of the mosh pit and it was so fun but so not good for my very first concert and i got way to hot and had no air and passed out :( but i still had alot of fun!
whenever i go to concerts i normally get to talk to the band/person afterward and get pictures, its really cool. and its really awesome when they talk to you for a long time and make you feel special ahaha.
and i live in austin, the music capital of the world, so bands are ALWAYS here and you can go to a concert every weekend unlike you so its pretty handy.
ive won tickets to a concert on the radio before, what you have to do is get a bunch of phones, have them all pre-dialed to the number you have to dial, then when it says to call you do all of them and keep calling till one phone gets it and it will work.
well i hope that my storys were amusing to you in some way lol.

Theres a show i want to go to around the end of November. The problem is that you have to be 16 or older. I'm still 14 but i turn 15 in October. I dont look young (i've had people that thought i was in college) at all so will that benifit me? I need to show an ID? I have my school ID and it doesn't show the year I graduate. could i use that?

concerts 16+ ive been to they have all asked for i.d.'s but, if you really want to get in, just find a side door with someone and slip him like a fifty or so, depends on the person, and he'll let you in.
hope you get to go!

This is kind of awful, but I'm a little scared of people with physical or mental problems... like I hate going to the old folks's home because many of the occupants are either physically messed up or not all there. I don't feel comfortable talking to them, or anyone with an obvious physical ailment, like if they are in a wheelchair or have cerebral palsy. I also have a hard time around mentally handicapped people- I just don't know what to do with myself! I don't feel comfortable, I try to be polite and smile, but I know everyone can tell that I'm not used to it/ not comfortable. What do I do???? Please help... I want to be more at ease around people that have these ailments. I realize that they are the same as me and deserve every bit of respect that I can give, but still... Any advice would be appreciated!

okay this a problem for many, and one of them used to be. before, i was exactly like you, not sure what to say or how to act. this problem is not going to just go away, you need time. i no you've probably heard this many times, but you really need to just act like there a normal person, with NOTHING wrong. obviously you can see that something is wrong with them, but you just need to try to relax. when you first start talking to them you can usually tell what mental state they are at, like if there at a 5th grade level or 1st grade or if there mind is completely normal, and you should just treat them by what you can tell by that. dont ask someone who is clearly at a lower level about the latest political debate, because they wont know, you can just talk to them about there family for instance, or school. and for people with just a handicap, you need to try to see past that and try your hardest not to stare at the thing that is different, maybe there wheelchair, etc. i hope i helped and just remember that they are people with emotions just like you!

I am going to a camp this summer, and i have never been to a camp before. This camp is at Tippicanoe in Indiana. If you have been there, or to any camp before can you tell me what it is like. I think it might be fun, but i am kind of afraid.

what do you think of camp?

i was in the same position as you a couple years ago. i was sooo afraid to go to camp!
the way that most camps work is you get assigned to a cabin with a couple other kids like about 10 girls/guys depending on your gender. and you have a couple concelors for your cabin. you normally have a schedule that you have to follow along with everyone else in the camp and you just go with the flow. i know that you'll have fun, just be yourself!
best of luck, maddie :)

Alright, so I have to do a project for school, and basically I need to come up with questions that I'd like to ask David Beckham. I have a few, but I'm kind of stuck. If you guys have any ideas, pleaseeee share them with me!

Thanks so much!

where'd you meet victoria?
when did you get into soccer?
how old were you when you made your first goal?
what made you want to start soccer?
did you always know that you wanted to be a proffessional soccer player? if not, what did you want to be?
who first scouted you?

ummm i cant think of any others at the moment but i hope i helped!
