you can't just "mend" a broken heart. believe me i know what it feels like. it takes time. first you have to be able to accept the fact that you are no longer with him. sadly, you can't just forget him either. try doing things to soothe yourself. talk to your friends about how you feel. maybe tell him how you feel. i agree with you that guys are very clueless because some of them are simply immature. maybe try looking for a new guy, i know that you might not want a new guy and the only guy you want is the one who broke your heart. try taking all your thoughts and feelings, writing them down, and putting them into a box. its like you leave them there to deal with themselvs. it takes time, and its very depressing and painful. if you really are having a hard time maybe try talking to a school counsilor or therapist. i know how you feel and i am truely sorry. i hope i couldt atleast help a little.

I KNOW EXACTLY HOW THAT IS TRUST ME! moms don't seem to like 17 year old guys with 14 year old girls, my mom was freaked out. but anyway, sit down and talk to her, ask if maybe he could come over when shes there and explain what a good and cool guy is and that she should get to know him. i really do know exactly how it is. try everything you can to make her understand. you can do it.

i think you should try to explain this to him try saying "i wanted to talk to you about something, but could you please listen to me and not get mad?" or something like that, explain that you diserve the same respect as he does. set him straight or break it off.

i think you should try to sit down and talk to your dad and explain why you want to be with this guy, and its your boyfriend...not your dads.
