I'm 15, and I've been friends with this guy for my whole life because our families our friends, but he lives an hour away. When I see him, he acts really flirty and gives me neck massages and plays with my hair and stuff, and we text a lot. He calls me babe and tells me I'm the prettiest girl he knows, but our conversations are always short because he reads my responses and never replies. He says his phone is broken but I know that he's texting other girls when he stops answering me. Am I over thinking this or is he just a flirt? (link)

Basically,you've started developing feelings for this boy best friend, maybe because he seems too good to be true. You know, perfect childhood romance etc etc. But, even if you've known him for your whole life, you need to decide if he's always been serious about you, even as a friend. For a guy who is generally pretty outspoken it's obvious that he enjoys flirting. Do you guys talk about your inner feelings? Is he the kinda guy who won't judge you if you confront him at a bad moment? I know this seems very far fetched but the very fact that he gets uninterested when some other girl comes along shows that he doesn't value you. As friends, he might be great..but in my opinion I don't think you should keep thinking about this because he really doesn't seem like a mature guy.

Im 14 and my boyfriend and i got together in december. He's kissed me twice, but he wont talk to me. I sit next to him and his friends everyday at school because he saves me a seat, but when i save him a seat with my friends, he just walks past me. On the rare occasion that he does talk to me, he wont even look at me, even though when i stand up in class or he sees me in the hall, his eyes are glued to me. Texting is the same way. When he texts me, in the middle of our conversations he cuts it off saying he has to work out or go do chores or its family movie night. When i text him, he rarely ever replies. This happens every time. There has been some problems with his friends thinking im weird annoying and stupid, but he swears he doesnt think so. WHat do i do. Im scared to confront him because i dont know how and i dont want to ruin this relationship. (link)

Honestly, I just think he's scared of confrontation. Some guys are cool with the physical stuff but can't handle the emotional side of things. Maybe he's just sort of confused on how to act or gets mood swings. The best way to solve this situation is try to either confront him but if you're too shy try to silently convey the message that it is not comfortable for you (act the same with him. sometimes the best way to get a person's attention is by not giving them yours.) If he gets hurt then he is serious about you
