Q: ok im 15 years old. i weigh about 155. im like 5'8" im not extreamly over weight, but most of my friends are really skinny, so it makes me look fatter, plus im tired of working so hard to find clothes that fit. and i have a belly that i suck in all day that i wanna get rid of. really bad. i stoped drinking sodas. and i dont eat too much junk. and i have not lost ANY weight. i have thiroid problems and have to take medicine for it. my mom says that it makes it harder to loose weight.
summer is comming soon and i need to loose weight.
what do i do?
ugh, i hate pot bellies. i suck mine in all day as well, because even though i have lost a little weight, it was mostly around my legs. my stomach remainds to be a beer belly. i've become more active since i started wanting to loose weight, because i happen to have a very slow metabolism. even if it's just going outside and walking my dog instead of just sitting at the computer or tv all day - a habit i've been trying to break. it's been really hard this past school year though, because i've been homeschooled, therefore i cant really be as active as i like - even if it's just getting up and walking to school and then walking back.

just become more active. cut down on the mcdonalds and junk food. it'll take a little while to get used to, i can say that from experience, but once you are used to it, it'll be easy to just forget about them. ask your mom or whoever buys the groceries to try and get healthier foods, so there wont be anything to tempt you with.

i happen to really like pasta, unfortunately it has millions of calories, so try from lean cusine. its got a very low amount of calories, but still rather tasty. (: stopped drinking sodas, i worship you. i could never do that, no matter how hard i try. my friends are really skinny too, and it usually lowers my spirits, because i used to be 125 and it took me forever to get used to dieting and get down to 103, while my friends dont do any extra exercise or dieting, and they're all 90 pounds.

finding clothes that fit can also bring you down. i know it brings me down alot, since nowadays no one has any plus sizes and the larges all look like smalls.

just be active over the summer. you'll look good while you're doing it. eat healthier foods. don't weigh yourself all the time or look at yourself in the mirror, just exercise and you'll look fine. mirrors and scales usually lie anyways, because people who work out get muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat, just like usually when you look at yourself in the mirror you always wish you were skinnier, even if you're already skinny.

hopefully this helped. (:

Q: I'm 14/f, 5'4", and about 103 lbs. I'm goign to this pool party on June 8th. I pretty much am ok with my body, but I want to make my stomach a little flatter (no so much my flatter, just get rid of the extra chubbieness). I also really want to get rid of the flappiness/sagginess on my butt. It's aroudn the bottom of my butt, where the creese is. It really bothers me and I want it to look better if not go away. What exercises can I do, and what can I eat to help them! I have about 17 days left at the most. Thanks, I'll rate!
i'm thirteen and 103 pounds, unfortunately, i look terrible in a bikini. or in any kind of bathing suit, actually. mostly because of my stomach and my lower back, around my butt. there's a little extra chubbiness in those places, and i've been trying to get rid of it. since of course it's summer time, and it'll be really hot, and there will be lots of pool parties and water parks.

like people have said before me, do situps. they really, really help. also, if you wrap yourself up in plastic wrap - not your entire body of course, but perhaps your ab area and your thighs - right before you exercise you'll sweat more, which is mostly getting rid of the chub. also, if you wrap your legs and stomach in plastic wrap before you go to sleep you can sweat off up to 3 pounds during the night. as long as you know, you don't suffocate yourself, you'll be fine. (:

Q: Hi I'm 15/f
and I weigh 148 lbs, and i am around 5'7''
and I want to go down to 130 lbs, and I know its not easy because I used to be over 170 lbs but I exercised through out all year, losing some, gaining back some, then losing some more.

But since its summer again, (because i started exercising last summer), I want to try to see if I can lose 10 pounds, or maybe 8 pounds before school starts again.

This is my plan...

eat all three meals, but dont have anything that isnt meal. as in No junk food whatsoever, no soda, no nothing. Maybe except for fruits and veggies, on occasion.

and get up early in the morning, around 6:30 to do these 2 abs exercises i got from Seventeen magazine(they are not long. it maybe took me 15-20 min doing them)

then during day, I probably will go skateboarding, but not a lot because its really energy draining thing and I have really low stamina. Maybe skateboard for 30 min to 1 hour a day.

Then about 1 hour after dinner, do 25 min of pilate crunch video thing

Then take shower then rest, and around 8:00 p.m, do 200 sit ups.

(But none of them applies on saturday, or sunday because I have to work and I get back late so that plan of mine only works through monday-friday)

So anyone have ANY idea if I can lose 8 pounds in about 2.5 months or so?

any suggestions that will help me lose more weight??

*** Most importantly, any suggestion that will keep me from snacking? because I can do it for couple days, then I always crack...

Well thanks so much in advance!
ah. finally sometime i'm good at. loosing weight. (: it took me a while to get used to my diet, but that's mostly because i have ADD, and it's hard for me to stay on track of things.

but anyways, you might want to stay away from starches like pastas and potatoes. add fish to your diet, because fish hardly has any calories. i'm not a fan of fish, but i do remember that it hardly has any calories. meat has alot of calories, so you might want to stay away from it. but you still need protien, so you might want to eat some pork 'n' beans every once in a while, that or peanut butter (even though peanut butter has alot of calories, i love it. so i eat it with apples to make it healthier).

i think that if you do what you're already doing you'll loose more than 8-10 pounds. i lost about 20 pounds in two months, and i wasnt starving myself. but i reccomend doing your situps every other day, but keep all of the other exercise. i do 300 every other day. your body needs time to rest, however you should still do your skaeboarding. (: also, eating yogurt in the morning is good. it gets you up and if you get the low-fat yogurt, it hardly has any calories. and you usually don't crave food until later on in the day. morning jogs are good, too, because the weather usually isn't too hot or too cold. i happen to have a hard time with running and jogging, i can walk forever, but running and jogging i'm not very good at, and i cramp easily. but it's alot easier if you have an mp3 player of some sort. make a playlist of fast, up-beat hip-hop/techno-ish music. it takes your attention away from the pain of running.

i started doing all of that around mid-march. i was 125 then, and now i'm 103. i've cut down on my dieting and exercise, but i still do it, just so that i dont end up having done all of that work for nothing.

hope this helps. (: sorry it's so long, i usually go on and on when i answer questions.

However, I do tend to ramble on in my answers. I'm thirteen, and my name is Sofia. But you can call me Sophie.
