Does anyone know about record deals? Like does it cost money and like around how much? and like is it hard and do you need anything to get a record deal? (link)

find a local recorder..if you know any people in bands ask them where they record music if they do. make a demo then take/send it to a record company thats kinda local. it`ll make a good impression and show youre pretty serious and it`s normal procedure for a lot of them .. some teachers might know some companies or where to record the demo!!

ask anyone you know plays guitar
check out the local college`s music dept if they have one, they`ll have connections
you could try a kc music or rayburns if you have one locally!

I'm going to get braces within a few weeks and I'm kinda starting to worry about playing flute with them. Do any of you have braces and play flute? If so, is there anyway you can position the flute so it's not right on your chin when you play? Also, will having braces dramatically change my performance? (link)

crap!! i hated that! it`s harder with piccolo though =( try to keep it in the same place and maybe you can put wax over your braces to stop cutting in. it won`t really interfere, but you really have to keep at it!

Do any of you know where I can buy Evanescence's CD "Le Nouveau Gothique"? I've searched the local Target, Wal*Mart, Best Buy, Circuit City, and music store and I've not been able to find it. I don't wanna sound cocky by this, but I wanna make the big time. And I know I have the voice for it too. My friends, family, everyone tells me that I have a fabulous voice and need to be revealed to the public. I've been doing everything musical for my school, community, and town. For example, talent shows, school plays/musicals, taking vocal lessons, in region chorus. But my question is, how can I, a fourteen-year-old from NJ, make it in the music bizz? please help me... i'll rate fast..thanks

i`d say, as a musician myself, is to get a really top quality voice coach at a conservatory or college. depending on the type of music you wanna do, you can get connections from him. you try slapping together a band to play at charity events and everything. that`s how i`m starting out and i`ve already gotten a ton of requests after only 3 months .. it`s a good way to begin.
