I'm looking to find some new bands to listen to and I've been listening to more rock lately.
19/M
I like
Type O Negative
Rammstein
the most
No Nickleback or emo please.
My friend suggested Slipknot, but I'm looking for music that doesn't scream all of the time. Yelling is OK, but screaming is annoying. I'm not looking for rock where the artists try to sound tough with their voices. I prefer hard electric guitars and drums to somebody screaming.
I know most of you are girls, but any rock suggestions are appreciated. Perhaps you can ask your boyfriends if you don't know of any.
-Krupple.
Edited:
I would suggest Bella Morte, A Perfect Circle, Godsmack or Ozzy Osbourne.
If you like heavier music then you might enjoy Nevermore or Disturbed.
And, by the way, a persons gender has nothing to do with their ability to listen to rock music and women can rock every bit as hard as men, if not harder. Infact I know of a few who could kick any man's ass, including Cristina Scabbia, Morgan Lander, Otep, Jennifer Arroyo and Angela Gossgow.

I've always had a dream to become a rock star... not like SUPER famous.. but at least known in my city. maybe like a garage band or something like that.
well here's the problem.. actually theres a lot of problems
-I LOVE to sing.. but my voice isn't all that great
-I have stage fright
-i have never sung in front of an audience.. not even my family
-I want to be in a band, but i don't know what to do... like a drummer, guitarist or vocalist but i like ALL of them. I could see myself doing all of them.
-The only instruments i've played were the piano and clarinet.. so i'd have to take up lessons for guitar or drums... but i probably won't have the time to practice or have the lessons
heres my schedule
mondays- soccer practice
tues.- soccer conditioning
wed- soccer practice
thur- nothing
fri- soccer practice
and then every other saturday or sunday is a soccer tournament.
HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks soooooo much for reading this.. i know this is long and i REALLY appriciate it if you could help me. You have no idea how much i love to sing and listen to music... i need help.
For question one, You should try Zoegirl, Mary Mary or Plumb.
As for question two, this is one that I can identify with. Everyone, reguardless of how good their natural voice sounds, needs vocal lessons to learn how to use their vocal cords properly. Without it you stand a good chance of damaging your vocal cords.
To help you gain confidence I would suggest taking choir as a class through school. Acting lessons will also help you with stage fright.
Music take dedication. Any powerful, sucessful musican out there has put hours and hours into their music. It requires a great deal of passion.
