how does the lyrics "grammatically speaking, you're adorable" make any sense? (link)
|
They don't.That band is horrible and the lyricist just likes to throw words together so that he seems like he knows what he's doing.

What kind of question is this?
You heard it and obviously know what you think about it,but you're asking us if you should get it or not?
|
anyone know this song.
it goes like this,
"is this the start of it?
has this become a part of it.
maybe we should've slowed down.
this is how we watsed it,
maybe we'll get it abck somehow."

I'm bringing back the 70's one day at a time.
I need some old music. :)
any ideas? (link)
|
Led Zeppelin is THE 70's band. They were basically a super band since there wasn't a single person that wasn't exceptionally great at what they did.
Other than that you've got Black Sabbath,Grateful Dead(I tend to lump them in as a 60's hippie band, but they were mega popular in the 70's),Yes,Pink Floyd(don't ignore their 60's work. There first album is one of my favorites.),The Doors were more of a 60's band but they lasted until Jim Morrison died in the early 70's,Earth,Wind,and Fire is a great Funk/Soul band,Elton John was at his peak,Mungo Jerry is a less popular but still great Blues/Jugband type of deal,The Beatles released their last album and their individual efforts started after they broke up (I prefer John Lennon, but they all had some respectable stuff),Jefferson Airplane became Jefferson Starship (Airplane's better if you don't mind a 60's band),The Velvet Underground were at their prime in the late 60's but they went on into the early 70's,Billy Joel was starting out and hit his stride around 77,aaaand the Jackson 5 got fairly popular, which paved the way for Michael's solo career.

i need classic [[like the beegees, beatles time]] and recent songs that would go along a slideshow of baby pictures.
thank you. (link)
|
Classics:
*Octopus's Garden,Golden Slumbers,Mother Nature's Son,Cry Baby Cry:The Beatles
*Wild Child:The Doors
*Levon,The Greatest Discovery:Elton John (best choices,in my opinion.listen to them and you'll see why they fit)
*Lather(it's about growing up,so it could be effective):Jefferson Airplane
*Beautiful Boy:John Lennon
*Bron-Yr-Aur(really calm acoustic guitar piece),The Rain Song,That's The Way,All Of My Love(Robert Plant wrote it for his dead son,so it works in that context):Led Zeppelin
*Wot's...Uh The Deal,Childhood's End,Matilda Mother,Mother,Time:Pink Floyd

are there any songs about struggling with an eating disorder and not feeling pretty and feeling alone? (link)
|
Waltz Moore by From First To Last is directly about all of those subjects. It conveys the feeling perfectly,in my opinion.
|
is there a site where like, it says about what the lyrics of songs mean or something like that? maybe a forum or something.
thanks. (link)

I've always had a dream to become a rock star... not like SUPER famous.. but at least known in my city. maybe like a garage band or something like that.
well here's the problem.. actually theres a lot of problems
-I LOVE to sing.. but my voice isn't all that great
-I have stage fright
-i have never sung in front of an audience.. not even my family
-I want to be in a band, but i don't know what to do... like a drummer, guitarist or vocalist but i like ALL of them. I could see myself doing all of them.
-The only instruments i've played were the piano and clarinet.. so i'd have to take up lessons for guitar or drums... but i probably won't have the time to practice or have the lessons
heres my schedule
mondays- soccer practice
tues.- soccer conditioning
wed- soccer practice
thur- nothing
fri- soccer practice
and then every other saturday or sunday is a soccer tournament.
HELP HELP HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks soooooo much for reading this.. i know this is long and i REALLY appriciate it if you could help me. You have no idea how much i love to sing and listen to music... i need help.

If you love singing go for that.As long as you don't have a god awful voice,it could work.Really, the key to being a real "Rock star" is charisma. If you have that then you can make anything happen. You have to be able to feed off of your audiences energy as well as have them feed off of yours. It's like a never ending cycle between you and them and there aren't any barriers. As for getting it together, just sort of ask around.I'm sure if you try there are a few people around that you could make a band with. And stage fright...it's like any other fear.Face it and if it doesn't kill you,it'll go away. Finally and most importantly:if this is something you're truly serious about-don't give up.If you have ambition and you have what it takes it could happen.
Hope this helped, and good luck :)

So I'm getting into Nirvana. What are some songs of theirs? Like their best ones. Well about anything. And other bands that are kinda like them. Like I listen to the Beatles, Nirvana, Pink Floyd, so other bands around those lines, and their songs. Anything would be helpful. Yeah I know odd questions but yeah. Thanks! (link)
|
There's a song called "Do Re Mi" that I've always loved. It not actually "Nirvana"...just a recording of Kurt. It's his last one too,so I'd try to find it.Other than that;"Aneurysm","Something In the Way"I Hate Myself and Want to Die",and "In Bloom" are all great.
For bands that are somewhat-but-not-exactly like them, try The Smashing Pumpkins,Pavement,Pixies, and the White Stripes.
As far as bands like the Beatles and Pink Floyd:
Jefferson Airplane-"Wild Thyme","Somebody to Love","Watch Her Ride","She Has Funny Cars",and "Go to Her".
The Zombies-"Time of Season","Hung Up On a Dream","Friends Of Mine","She's Not There"
Early (mid 1960's) Pink Floyd-"Interstellar Overdrive","Wot's...Uh the Deal?","See Emily Play","Lucifer Sam"

anybody know any sites that teach you how to play guitar online and stuff like that? (link)
|
http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/ is the best,in my opinion.
Other than having lessons every week or so,the list of songs taught are updated frequently and everything is taught in a "plain English type of way.By that,I mean you don't exactly need to know a lot about music to be able to understand it.There's also a forum in case you want to ask for tips or share your work.
|
i'm trying to learn how to play guitar by myself. and i really need sites that can help me learn how to play guitar and stuff. anything online will be really helpful. no, guitar lessons isn't needed. i'm not serious about learning how to play a guitar, i just wanna learn how to play several songs in it and stuff. so please help! (link)
|
http://911tabs.com/ is a great place to go for tabs, and I think that they may have a few tips on there also.
http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/ has a bunch of lessons, and new songs are added weekly. There's also a forum so that you can discuss things with other people, incase there's still something that you don't understand.
