one of my dreams has been to become a singer but my parents say that if i dont sing in like a talent show at my school then they wont sign me up for anything.. the talent show passed and i didnt try out because i had something else planned for the date that they made the talent show.. ok so ALL my friends tell me that im an amazing singer and stuff ( i dont want to sound concided ) but i dont think im terrible ! any ways.. how can i get my parents to let me go to auditions and signups and stuff.. what can i do to follow this dream ? .. thanks in advance- i rate! :-)

omg i kinda know where youre coming from. I also want to become a singer, people tell me im really good and i know im not BAD either lol
well anyway, keep singing no matter what, if its your dream then you can make it happen. Get a vocal coach, get involved with anything singing, you should have done that talent show...
Now about your parents... Find a bunch of auditions and signups and make a list... Show them and talk with them about them all. They should understan that you really want to do this so i doubt they wont take you.

i'm in a band, and i'm not bragging or anything but we are quite good. we've been together for like 2 years and have played loadsa gigs (and won a battle of the bands competition recently :p) we've got a demo cd and evrything so how the hell do we go about "getting signed" because i'm hearing of other local bands that get signed ie to sony for £400,000 to go record an album. so does anybody know how we'd go about doing this? i will rate high if your helpful :p PLEASE help me.

Get an agent. By sending in demo's doesnt really help because from experience, no one listens to them... Unless the RIGHT person hears it then demo's don't get through. So my best advice is to get an agent who can help you out a lot. =] Good luck !

ok so i am going to babysit my neighbors dog and 2 cats....with the money i recive i would like to buy a guitar. Not the electric kind jusy the regular. I'm a really good singer. All of my friends have said so, and are threatening to take me too American Idol when I'm 16. And I love to sing. But when I go to do it in front of some people I get really nervous and choke up. Any suggestions on how to get rid of my nervous-ness??
Start off singing in front of some friends... Then sing in front of others... The more you do it the less nervous you'll be. I also sing myself and i've sang in front of 1,000 people and I was fine. I'm really used to it now. So If you try singing in front of your friends first that should help you get rid of some nerves...
