First off: I am by NO means a song writer! I admit that now.
Ok, I wrote a pretty corny song for my mom on mother's day. Seeing how corny it was, just made me want to do better. I just now put pen to paper and came up with this. I want your HONOST opinion. I tried to think about how it would actually sound as a song, but self critisism has always been tough for me. I want your 100%, completely honost, first-thing-that-you-think comments. Also, help on improving? I'm learning to play the guitar by the way, which is kind of my inspiration for song-writing. ANYWAY, here it is:
Going nowhere fast
time stands still
push away the past
try no to feel
you're not worth the effort
not a dime
so why's this stupid heart
breaking every time?
I've thrown away the gifts
ripped all the pictures up
pushed you out of my mind
burned that stupid close-up
Stop creeping back
into my mind
can't you see the
"turn back" sign?
I've gone through a lot
but not so much like this
heart's all cracked up
many things to miss

I like songs that describe my mood(s) or situation... Well right now I just feel betrayed and hurt by my friend. She WAS my best friend but now we're not really good friends anymore and it's because of something I guess. I don't understand it. She's moved on, and has changed a lot. It annoys me and also makes me sad. Everything is confusing and has changed a lot. I also feel left out and feel like "my friend" doesn't really even care about me anymore. It's like we were never "bffl"..... It seems like everything's a lie... I dunno how to describe it, but weird things have happened and I don't understand, cause never in my life would I think it would actually happened. I'm just surprised by it. I'm also sick of fake ppl. Or, posers, and copycatters!!!!! I'm annoyed by them and wish they'd just stop the act..... oh and no, I'm not looking for detailed advice, I just need songs. I'm wondering if anyone knew some reallyyyy goood songs that talk about everything I just said, or something like that. Songs that have good lyrics, and make you really think about them. They could also be sad songs...... Some examples are "Welcome to my Life", "Untitled", and "Perfect", all by Simple Plan... You know songs kinda like that. xD Thankkss! (link)

try "inside out" and "empty apartment" by yellowcard, "makedamnsure" by taking back sunday, anything by the all american rejects, "numb" by linkin park, "just a kid" and "when im gone" by simple plan, "all that ive got" by the used, the "still searching" album by senses fail, "im not OK (i promise)" by my chemical romance, most newfound glory..on most music sites they should have a "similar artists" list. try looking at those if you look up some of these.. if you like these & want more, just message me :) hope i helped! -ali 16f

watch alot of british accented movies. like bridget jones diary 1 & 2, candy, that show the saddle club.. (its really gay, but they have accents) when i watch movies with accents, i usually pick them up on accident haha. hope this helps :) -ali 16/f

We don't have nay idea what to name our band. We're all very different individuals who can't seem to agree on anything but we are all together in this rock band. We play indie rock music. oh god...there are literally like, trillions of possibilities... "anna's fall," "turn to stone," jonestown massacre," "red autumn war," "clock strikes 13," "bulletin board rejects.." to name a few. just look around the room for ideas. maybe its like a nickname, you cant just pick it, something has to happen, then it becomes a nickname, and it sticks. anyways hope i helped, lemme know what you guys decide on naming your band :) good luck -ali 16/f

Anything similar to:
The Rocket Summer, Mayday Parade, The Used, Just Surrender, or This Providence.
I'd prefer bands that are more unknown, too, because I know a lot of better known bands.

try some cradle of filth. i dont know for sure, but judging from all their stuff ive heard (quite alot) they can be very dark and instrumental. try too look through their songs for one with little or no words, theres a good chance youll find one. good luck! =)

its rather hard to explain..but doing its really easy. when the times comes you just know what to do. its instinct. but, to answer some questions, their toungue will be goin around inside your mouth, and you just do what they do. its really easy once you get the hang of it =) good luck!
