Just found out that my ex has hep b, what should I be looking for? Is it likely that I am going to show symptoms and know I have it if I do, or does it only show up on tests until it is too late? (link)

*this came from a sexuality ad u pamphlet but you should check out their site as well: www.sexualityandu.ca
in up to 50% of people there are no outward signs of infection. Up to 8 weeks after exposure to the virus, some people may experience flu-like symptoms including: tiredness, nausea and vomiting, decreased appetite, rash, joint pain and yellowing of the eyes and skin (rare cases). Individuals who are acutely infected with hep B should abstain from sexual activity until their partner has been screened and immunized if needed. You should really go to a doctor if you think you may have contracted it before its too late because there is no cure for hep b, but there is a vaccine to prevent the infection is available. Hoe this helped!
