About kittenlover2000

I'll answer question on pretty much anything, though as I'm studying psychology and from past experience, I'm best at answering questions about love life, mental illness as well as giving career advice or job advice. I am also really into fashion and love these types of questions!. Oh and any pet help...
I have an average rating of 4.5 on here. Only inbox me questions that are short please and not about death/suicide. Honestly, there's nothing more dull that opening your inbox to 'I want to die'.
Anyway, ask away and I'll try to help out :)

Hello, 18 f, freshman in college. Like the title, I think I have anxiety. I wouldn't say like, a crazy case and it hits me everyday. I think I have a little, baby form of it. Sometimes, when I start to do something new, like a new class for university or anything, my heart beats fast and I almost get panicky. It could be the dumbest thing. Today, I have english class in the basement of the library and I'm not sure how to find the room that my class is being held in and every few minutes, my heart starts to be quicker when I think about what would happen if I can't find my class. My mom had depression when she was pregnant with my older brother but she's better now, I don't believe that she ever had anxiety. Again, like I said, I don't think I have it to the extent of having to carry around a paper bag or have to sit and put my head in between my knees, I just think I have a small form of it. Any ideas of what it could be? Maybe I'm completely off, any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
Hi,
I'm 17 and will poenly admit that I have an anxiety disorder, which nearly killed me through lack of sleep.
Anyway,I got better so you can to.
Anxiety itself can't kill you and in small amounts it is actually very useful as it protects us from danger. But you need to stop it in its tacks NOW before it takes control of you, like it did to me.
The main thing is not to worry about anything. I know this may be hard, as people who have a tendancy to be anxious are that way from birth, and you can't afterall change your personality.
(All this is what doctors have told be btw) Doctors reckon anxiety is genetic, and anxiety can stoop into depression, which could explain your case (but I'm not a doctor)
It sounds to me like anxiety because you talk about procrastinating over tiny things. So you need to control it. There are many relaxation techniques on the web, try a thing called 'mindfulness'. It's a buddist philosophy that gets me through tough times.
I'm 17 and at first I found it difficult to find time in the day to meditate, but It really works, so I'd reccomend you meditate for 10-30 minetes every day.
I know you say you don't think it is severe, but anxiety as you many know builds up to become quite severe, but you can catch it and control it in its early days and then you should be fine.
Good luck :)
