Well, i had discharge for about 3 years until i had my period. My friends however only had it for a year, or some even only a month. Even if your tummy hurts, it may be a stomach flu. Then again it may also be close to your period. If it hurts in the lower section (like where you pull your pants up to) it may be cramps from your period. My guess if you are close. 12 is around the average age to start your period. ask your mom and find out when she started hers. I would say you should carry some pads (about 3 or 4) in your backpack or purse in case it comes when you are out. You can start wearing panty liners so the discharge you are having doesn't get on your underwear, but that is up to you. :) I hope this helps girl!
