advice
Hey everyone, I'm doing a Psych. uni assignment and I was just wondering if I could get your opinions/advice on my hypothesis, if its correct etc.
A researcher was interested in the relationship between number of employees supervised and managers’ stress levels. He asked five managers to fill out a stress questionnaire and also took note of how many employees were under their supervision.
IV - Number of employees under supervision.
DV - Stress levels.
Hypothesis - The number of employees under supervision positively affects stress levels.
Could you also, please tell me if its alright to use the word 'positively' in my hypothesis? Or should I just simply say, The more employees under supervision, the higher the stress levels.
Thank you!
How about "There is a direct correlation between the number of employees under supervision and manager's stress levels"
I agree with you that the word 'positively', while technically correct, could be confusing in this context.
(Rating: 5) Thanks! Its all coming back to me now with all the 'correlation' and relationship-talk between variables! THANKS!!!
