about
I'm just an average person. I love to help people out :) it makes me feel better about myself. I've been in a lot of situations so I can most likely relate to a lot of your problems. I know what it feels like to not have anyone to talk to about your problems, which is why i'm an advicenator. I'm ready to help people and be there for everyone who needs advice or just a companion to speak out to. I'm always here if you need me, don't hesitate to drop a question or even just a vent/rant note about a problem to my advice column inbox. I respond to all of them regardless of the topic. I'm upfront and abrupt about my answers and never sugarcoat. Take my advice or not, but i'm just doing my job :)Played volleyball for over 10 years, also a coach. I love to try new things. Currently I'm trying the new sport of tennis and learning about my passion of photography.
advice
I've been dating this guy for a few months now and my dad wants to meet him. everyday he tells me he wants to meet him but i'm to scared for them to meet. how do i tell my boyfriend that my dad wants to meet him and what/how would be a good place/time for them to meet???
awhh that's so sweet that you're dad wants to meet him :)
I tried endlessly for my dad to meet my boyfriend but my dad refused to hahaha. It took a lot of work for them to meet and it all turned out really well :) they actually had a lot in common and now they are practically best friends. My dad will call my boyfriend over to help him with something and i'll just walk downstairs and see my boyfriend there and be like "what are you doing here?" and he'll be like "oh your dad called me over" haha.
Its really nothing to stress out about :)
The easiest way for them to meet is to have your boyfriend come over to your house. He could pick you up from your house and go out to a movie or something, and while he comes over to pick you up, you just quickly introduce them and then leave with your boyfriend.
Or if you want something that lasts a little bit longer, ask your boyfriend to come over and have dinner with your family. Thats how I met my boyfriends family. Its formal, nice, and polite. It doesn't have to be fancy either. It could just be a simple BBQ.
Most importantly, don't make it awkward. Its only awkward if you make it awkward. Keep the conversation flowing, no awkward silences. Talk about your boyfriend and his hobbies, then ask him some questions. Just keep it casual and don't bring up anything random. Keep it cool and just relax. If you're nervous, then it rubs off on everyone else and they get nervous too. If you're relaxed, then everyone else will be relaxed :)
good luck and inbox me if you have more questions!
