about
I'm just an average person. I love to help people out :) it makes me feel better about myself. I've been in a lot of situations so I can most likely relate to a lot of your problems. I know what it feels like to not have anyone to talk to about your problems, which is why i'm an advicenator. I'm ready to help people and be there for everyone who needs advice or just a companion to speak out to. I'm always here if you need me, don't hesitate to drop a question or even just a vent/rant note about a problem to my advice column inbox. I respond to all of them regardless of the topic. I'm upfront and abrupt about my answers and never sugarcoat. Take my advice or not, but i'm just doing my job :)Played volleyball for over 10 years, also a coach. I love to try new things. Currently I'm trying the new sport of tennis and learning about my passion of photography.
advice
Well, I'm M/15. Recently I've been having trouble trying to clear up my face. A few months ago it was pretty clear. My forehead is the place being hit by ugliness, my cheeks are fine. I have about three dark spots from old pimples that are gone, and a few tiny pimples as well. It looks clear from a distance but if you're talking with me, you'll see a few bumps. Is there any way I can clear up my face pretty well? I've tried different products and I think that those cleansers never work because if they did, they'd be bought less often and have a higher price, it only makes sense. I also don't want to put chemicals all over my face anymore. Are there any types of procedures that actually work? Weather it includes household items, liquid mixtures, and/or types of foods to eat or not eat. I'm sure there's a way. If you can tell me, that'd be good.
i've had acne for a while too but recently i bought some good products which have helped me a lot. This is my daily routine for skin care-
wake up. wash my face with Clean and Clear deep action exfoliating wash. This cleanser cleans your face down to the pores, getting out dirt and bacteria. It also has salyic acid which is used to get rid of acne. It also has exfoliating beads which exfoliate your skin (getting rid of dead skin, which can cause more bacteria and acne). Another good thing about this cleanser is that after you wash it off, your face tingles and feels cool and clean :) After washing my face, I put on Aveeno Clear Complexion Moisturizer. Aveeno is a really great brand because most of their ingredients are natural, which is always a plus. Its made especially for getting rid of acne and to leave skin smooth and maintain an even, clear complexion. After that, i usually just put on some make up (but since you're a dude, i doubt you would want to do that haha)
Then at night I wash my face again with the same cleanser, then put on the same moisturizer, then the final step is to put on Oxy spot treatment. Its this white cream that you apply on the area you have the most pimples and it basically dries out the pimples and makes them go away. You really have to be careful with this stuff though. If you put too much on, it can dry out your skin. So when you use this, put on a little. Less is More. Even if you think it wont cover your whole forehead or whatever, use just a little bit. I usually just use a pea size dot and cover my forehead with that. Another tip- after you put it on, you shouldn't really see the cream. Like when you squeeze it out of the bottle, it looks white. But when you put it on your face, it should blend in with your skin. So if you put it on and your face looks like white spots all over, then you put too much on.
Some more ideas to help get rid of acne are-
-steam! go in a steam room (usually in gyms or fitness centers) or even just a hot shower and stay there for a few minutes. it helps open up your pores, then the steam and heat will kill the bacteria
- drink lots of water. Water is good for you, no matter what. it helps you stay healthy, look good, and feel good.
- if you have a huge big pimple, take a Q-tip or towel and soak it in steaming hot water. Like seriously make it really hot. Then apply the Q-tip or towel to the pimple and hold it there for a few seconds. Dip it back in the water and hold it on the pimple again. Keep doing this. Your face should feel like its burning. The first few times I did this, my eyes watered because it was like burning my skin. But it really works. The really hot water kills the bacteria under your skin. Yes it might burn your skin (which can cause it to dry out, so make sure you apply a moisturizer right after you do this) but it kills the bacteria and makes the pimple go away. Now, i'm not saying it will go away in 1 day if you do this. It takes about 2-5 days for it to go away or at least shrink a little.
This is exactly what I do to get my skin looking clear, and it really does help. But remember, no 2 bodies are a like. So my skin and your skin could be completely different. What works for me, may not work for you. but its worth a shot :)
