I'm Em.

I'm a 20 year old English/History student living in Sydney.

I dig art, music and books.

I'll take questions on relationships, friendships, high school, uni, or whatever else.

I try to give the best advice I can, usually drawing on my own personal experience. But I'm not perfect, and sometimes when I look back on some of my advice it's far from it (especially when I was 15 and writing LiKe THiS). It's just advice, though. It's not an answer or a solution, it's simply a potentially helpful perspective. And that's all I can offer you.

heyy! if you had a boyfriend that cheeted on you what will you do?? (link)
Hmm I've been thinking about this a lot lately, not because of a personal reason but just wondering.

I guess it depends on a lot of things, especially how much I love him and trust him. If I loved a guy a lot and he cheated and was very sorry, I would have to be able to let go of what happened and trust him enough to be with him. If I didn't trust him in any way then our relationship would never work. What would end up happening is I would always think he was out cheating on me, which subconsciously would just make me slowly begin to hate him.

I was in two relationships where the guy never told me he was cheating but it was very obvious he was. In the first one we were not very connected emotionally so the relationship ended quickly. In the second though, when I found out, I broke down and just lied in bed crying for a week. It was hard because this was the first guy I had fallen in love with. I decided that I could not be with him because I could never be able to let it go and I can't be with someone that I cannot trust.

The term "once a cheater, always a cheater" doesn't always apply to everyone, but to me I just felt so betrayed and hurt I couldn't be with him. I do know people that have continued a relationship with a person that has cheated on them and they have been able to be happy because they could put that all behind them.

So I guess if I had a boyfriend and he cheated on me, I could not be with him anymore. It would be too hard for me emotionally and mentally to stay with him and all I could ever think about was him betraying me again.

It's all up to the person though and if they think they can deal with it. Moving on is hard but it's a lot better than spending every night wondering if he really loves you.
