I am a 50+ female and I need ideas on how to respond politely to people who disrespect our President by calling him the N word. I get angrier every time I hear it and one of these days I'm going to blow like dynomite. (link)

Advise them that your country released itself from the shackles of socially acceptable racism 40 years ago and that, if they hadn't noticed, that man is possibly the most powerful man on the planet. I might also like to say kudos for him and your country for electing him and proving to the world you are able to forget your past and elect someone who 50 years ago wouldn't have been able to sit in the front of the bus.
But yes, tell them that America is a country where that word is unacceptable in a derogatory manner.

Thank you for the advise. I was apparently however in the effort to "keep it brief" not clear on what bothers me most about this kind of disrespect. These particulat people are in thier late 70's and early 80's. Trying to change thier minds about racism is a waste of time. Yes racism makes me angry as well but some times we have to chose our battles and my battle in this instance is more about patriotism. Calling the President of our country that disqusting name to me is like burning the flag. However thanks again and I am very impressed that you (from another country) are so familiar with our history. Thank you for caring enough to learn about us,it's more than far to many of our own citizens can claim. And isn't that sad, no wonder racism is still rampant.
