okays sooo, ive been on birth control for like two years now, and i have never known the answer to this question, ive tried to ask my ginocologest but she didnt really answer me.
butt.. when your on birth control, can the guy like cum in you and you wont get pregnant. Like im not stupid me and my boyfriend still use condoms every single time and were still going to, but im just kinda curious casue if not then what does birth control do?
Birth control regulates periods, reduces cramping, helps with mood swings/makes it worse, reduces bleeding days, can make you lose or gain weight (cup size!), calm down your hormones so less acne OR increase in acne, etc. I know people that do this and don't get pregnant, there's always a chance it will. Birth control is protection, it isn't 100% effective so you could have unprotected (condoms) sex but there's a chance you'll get preg. That's why the pill and a condom together is effective. A condom alone is still good protection but if it breaks, there's no "extra" shield like the pill.
The pill is hormones, chemicals, etc. It controls out bodies. Basically it keeps your ovaries from releasing eggs and getting contact with sperm. Which is what I meant by shield. The pill also thickens a woman’s cervical mucus which blocks sperm.
It also protects you from abnormal breast growths, cancers (ovarian for example), PMS symptoms, anemia (iron deficiency) and vaginal dryness.
If you're going to do it, then go to a pharmacy and buy plan B. I wouldn't make unprotected (condoms!) sex a habit, every so often.. is alright if you're taking the pill daily AND have BACK UP *ready*
Women still get pregnant while on the pill, esp. if there's no condoms. A least 1 in 100 yearly.
