I HAD a problem. since i was 12 i started cutting. I dont know how to explain it to people that dont do it becuase its something you have to have gone through to understand. its like a drug i was addicted for 4 1/2 years, slowly killing myself. anyway everyone found out and i had to stop.
the question is like what am i supposed to replace it with. Ive tryed running writing (which is my passion) and everything in between. I just need some good advice as how to stop.
Please help, anything will be appreciated. (link)
i guess i know how u feel. i have anxiety issues,...like...really bad, and low self confidence. And that often has to do with embarrassing situations i end up in. And I guess i blow it out of proportion, and I end up hhhating myself. Like, "why did i do that?!".. or "why did i say that?!".. or "why dddidnt i do or say that?!".. and many times I get dissappointed in myself and I feel like I deserve to be punished; I have to give and receive the punishment. But how would that make me feel better? I dont know, but sometimes i would just like to make myself bleed. I never cut myself. I've tried to bruise myself,..I've trrried to "cut" myself with things like pen caps, and I'd leave marks, like ones that would stay for like a week. But never successfully drew blood and never with a knife. But all of that is detrimental to your well-being. that's dwelling on miserable experiences that made you want to cut yourself in the first place. I don't know if you've ever tried to kill yourself,.. but I suggest finding your purpose in life. whatever you wish to be, with passion.... whatever you rrealllyyy want to do or be, even if you think it can never happen.. you should focus on that. because the truth is, it CAN happen. All that is required is your believing. and you can not everrrr stop believing that it can be true one day. Remind yourself that you will be that admirable thing that you want to be, constantly. And say to yourself that you have that to live for and to look forward to. And if you have anything else to focus on, make sure you do that, as long as it is positive. Because negative thoughts only bring more negative experiences into our lives.
