My nails are just so brittle and soft...I just cant seem to maintain long nails... How do i make my nails long and stronger... I just chipped of a nail right now and so i had to trim all of them!! Its a really stupid question but I am obsessed. Should I get a french manicure even though my nails are really short right now?
I have this problem alot during winter because the air is more dry. But here are some tips i can give you to prevent this.
If one of your nails is going to break, then file/clip it before it breaks because you are able to save more of it that way.
If yur nail chips, than you can buff the top of it to make it blend in with the rest of your nail so you dont have to make it shorter.
You can also try nail patches, which can be bought at drug stores... i personally don't like them but you might.
To make your nails stronger, you can by a nail strengthening polish or something at a drug store. I like sally hansen hard as wraps. To make them less brittle, make sure to moisturize your hands and cuticles, and even rub lotion into your nails.
and yeah i think that you could get a french manicure even if you have short nails.
