Q: (Sorry but this is a little awkward) I'm 14 and I've never had my period. Recently, it's been feeling...uhm...sort of itchy and uncomfortable... and it's gotten me really worried. It hasn't been anything but stinging. Then, a couple days ago, there was a little tiny bit of blood when I went to the bathroom, and it really freaked me out, but I calmed myself down. It also really hurts when I wipe myself... Then, today, there was a lot of discomfort, and when I went to the bathroom, my underwear had a huge stain from something in it, and when I wiped, the tissue paper had a lot of blood on it. So I just put a wad of toilet paper in my underwear and went back to lunch (we were at a restaurant). When I got home I changed my underwear, and I also put one of my moms pads on. So, just a minute ago, I went to the bathroom again to check, the pad was a little...yucky with something, but it wasn't so bad. So I wiped myself off and I couldn't believe how much blood there was. I'm getting really freaked out and I really need help. Tomorrow I have to go back to school, and I'm nervous that it's going to happen again during school, and I'm wearing light colored shorts tomorrow. So, I need help--is it my period? Did I just hurt myself, and will it go away eventually? What should I do before I go to school? Sorry about the length, but I'm all paranoid.

hm, the part where you said "tint of blood" and it hurt to "wipe" did it hurt to like pee also? because those are sign of a UTI (urinary tract infection) but then again it sounds like your period because theres a lot of blood, i suggest wearing another one of your moms pads to school tomorrow to be safe and if it only last 4-7 days then its your period and you should tell your mom. If it last more then that then i would start to worry, tell your mom if it last more then a week.
