about

I'm a med student, so health related questions I can usually answer pretty well. I also like to think I'm somewhat decent at giving advice. I can also give you an honest opinion.

"I love waking up in the morning not knowing what's gonna happen or, who I'm gonna meet, or where I'm gonna wind up. I figure life's a gift and I don't intend on wasting it. You don't know what hand you're gonna get dealt next."

"I believe in colors. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner.I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."

advice

i really want a cartilage piercing but im really scared of a couple things ...
1. does it hurt when they put the needle through??
and does it hurt ALOT after wards
2. does it get caught in your hair or clothes?
3. how long does it take to heal and how long b4 i can change it ..some ppl say it take 1 year to fully heal is that true?

thankss in advance :)

1. it hurts more if they do it with a gun, so get it done with a needle (you probably would have to go to a tattoo shop)..it hurts a little more than an earlobe piercing because its cartlidge but its not too bad. it doesn't really hurt afterwards but if you sleep on it, it will hurt in the morning. so try not to sleep on it.
2. just like any other piercing it could get caught on your hair of clothes but it hasn't really been a problem for me, just be careful.
3. i changed it after 3 months and it was fine. but yeah it probably takes 6 mos-yr to be fully healed so you can change it before then but make sure you leave something in because it will close easily.

(Rating: 5) I want to thank you for all the information, and repay you with a warning. I got the piercing done and I developed some of the ugliest keloids you've ever seen. No more piercings for me! So not worth it that I have to carry this around for the rest of my life. I took out all my other piercings and learned something very important: for many of them the scars never go away! My Monroe piercing makes this weird V-shaped when I smile where the piercing used to be.
