I don't think you should tell her but I also don't think you should let it be either. I mean you might as well have some fun with it! >:)
I'm thinking that you should get her interested in him as well. Maybe something like 'Oo! [Place name here] is so [Place trait here]!' After you got her good and ready, get the boy to ask her out and just see where it leads!!
....Of course, that's assuming you DO want to have some fun. If you DON'T, just let nature take its course. No use buying bait if you don't have a fishing rod.
