advice

I love reading. But, the problem is that I don't know what to read next. hah.

So, has anyone read a really good book lately?

I'm 16/f. I like romance, action, and thrillers. But, i read alot of random books too. So if you have a book that you like, please refer.

Provide the title, author and maybe a brief summary (so I have a little idea on what it's about).

So, thanks! :]

Oh this is right up my alley!

The "Twilight" series by Stephenie Meyer is an amazing read. Its one of those Vampie/Human romances, and throws in a lot of other things. Near death, werewolves, revenge, and the like. Its one of the best.

A favorite author of mine is Marcus Zusak. The two books of his are:

The Book Thief- set in Nazi Germany and told by Death its about a young girl who lost her family and lives in a foster home. Its basically her life as all of Germany goes to hell.

and I Am the Messenger- which has a sort of action/romance twist. It has Ed Kennedey, a taxi driver who is all average, stop a bank robbery. Well then he starts getting Aces in the mail telling him to do all these things, help all these people. Its really amazing.

Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins is sort of a gard one to get into, and has some really whacked out concepts, but I found it good once I got into it. Its basically about a small group of people trying to get the secret ingredient out of a perfume bottle, and in the middle it tells the story of the man who made the perfume.

If you haven't already, do the Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. Kite Runner is about a boy who moves to America after he does something horrid, and then goes back to his country to try and make it right. Splendid Suns is about two woman and their husband and how they get used to living as Afghan women.

White Oleander by Janet Finch is an incredible read. The girl goes from foster home to foster home after her mom kills a man.

Anything by Jodie Picoult is good. Her endings really throw you for a twist.

There's also The Memory Keeper's Daughter by Kim Edwards is something that made me cry. A man gives away his daughter because she has a disease and may die, and it goes through his life afterward and how he copes with this secret.

The last one I'll give you isn't fantastic, but it is pretty spiffy. Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, in which a boy gets tapes from a girl he knew who killed herself. The tape go through (you guessed it) the thirteen reasons why she killed herself.

Happy Reading!
