I don't have any tips on how to make the smell go away other than purchasing new rocks..

BUT, you should never use soap while cleaning anything your fish use. I can kill them.

Anyway, your fish probably doesn't mind that it's rocks smell fishy *wink*

and the soap i used didn't kill him. I made sure to rinse it really good.

I'm a 36 year old mom who has too much life experience. I realize that, no matter your age, life throws some crazy curve balls at you when you least expect it. I know in my heart that absolutely no one is perfect..and we all make wrong decisions at one time or another; and sometimes we just need someone to help us out without being judgmental!
