Q: i'm 16/f 162lbs and 5'4.

my doctor told me today i need to loose weight.
so i'm gonna aim for around 130lbs.
i don't really have a deadline for the amount of weight.
but maybe at least 15lbs by my birthday (which is late april).


i'm wondering how to do this.
any specific diets i should try?
or any tips that helped you while changing your lifestyle?

any help would be great.

I was in your SAMEEEE position! I'm also 16 and I was 160ish pounds. Now I'm 129.
What I did...was just basically stop eating so much. Cut the crap, cut the junk food, cut the sweets. Don't eat after 6. Run everyday. Jumprope for an hour per day, if you can. Running 2 hours or even one per day will help you lose weight FAST. Have a balanced breakfast with fruits and oatmeal or something...and then have fruits in between as snacks to boost your metabolism and to stop you from eating TOO much at dinnertime. At lunch, have a decent sized meal. Salads, chicken...or anything your mother makes (if your mum cooks!) If you feel like you're half-full, it's best to finish eating....
Don't eat too much bread. One slice is fine.

Pasta also causes your stomach to like blow up...with unnecessary calories.
After 6 o'clock..try to refrain from eating...as it is the most lazy part of the day, when the human metabolism starts slowing down since you're probably at home and not moving too much. Have an apple, a banana or yogurt.

If you're eating something...make sure you're not having too much of one thing! That could ruin the whole purpose of the diet. A handful of whatever you're having is fine :)

That worked for me. I lost a LOT of weight. And you have to be optimistic...you have to be able to tell yourself NO to certain foods that tempt you.

I also work out at the gym. I run on the treadmill for about 30 minutes and then powerwalk. I've found that walking/running drops the weight pretty quickly.
