Okay, so what is the difference between a yeast infection and a urinary track infection? [NO LINKS!]
Because I can litterally [warning this is gross] pull a string of discharge from my "v" where the discharge comes out. It is gloppy, and gross,[comes out like whitish very light pale, but dries yellow] and this has been going on for a while. I am not sexually active, I never have been, I don't "fool around"...SO WHAT IS THIS? help me please, I don't know what to do, I haven't told my mom and I don't want to....and I just want to know what it is without going to see a gyno...thanks in advance.
A yeast infection is vaginal. A UTI (Urinary Tract Infection), is an infection of the urinary tract, i.e. urethra (the passage through which you're urine goes into the outside world), bladder, etc.
You need to tell your mom. Everyone gets yeast infections once in a while, some more than others. She won't think that you are sexually active, just that a mean little bacteria made its home in your vagina.
From your description, it could well be a yeast infection, although you will need a doctor to make sure. You can get over the counter medication (there are a lot to choose from, and I don't know your budget), or prescription meds.
I would just tell your mom and see what she decides to do, to take you to a doctor or to just buy some over the counter medication.
