If I have a big oval shaped head, poofy hair but getting a little bald at the front, is it a good idea to get side bangs?
If not, what style would look probably the most decent?
Basically any style works with the oval shape. I've rocked different bangs. Blunt straight across, side bangs and razor cuts. You can try side bangs and see if you like it. If you don't, go for the straight across just at your eyebrows.
Since your face is well proportional. You don't need heavy bangs because that might add weight to your face.

You just need to avoid short layers that add height to your head. It will only make your face appear longer. So if you want a new hair style, go for long layers. Maybe face framing layers starting near the chin.
