Lately my school has been talking to us about abortion. They think it's wrong and I'm not sure about it. I'm NOT pregnant, but there are girls in my school who are and each of them has said they wish they would have had an abortion. I think it's wrong, but it could also be for the best if one was to have an abortion.

Please voice your opinions on abortion. I would love to hear everything you have to say about it.

I'm completely against it. The only reason other than that I'd be for it was if the mother's life was a stake. Then, she'd be able to choose. Other than that, I find it wrong. You had sex, you suffer the consequences. You knew before you had sex there was a chance you could be pregnant, no matter what. You can always give it up for adoption. If you don't want to do either of those, too bad. You shouldn't have been sleeping around. Don't murder a child just because you made a mistake. It's not the child's fault.
If someone was raped, I'd still be against it. I know it's not their fault, but that would be really hard to make a law. Like, for example, a girl who had sex willingly got pregnant. She could easily say, "Oh, I was raped. I'm having an abortion." I'm not saying you have to keep the baby, because that would be really hard to be reminded of what happened everyday. There's always adoption. There's tons of families out there who'd love to adopt a child.

(Rating: 5) I think I agree with you. I read a story and it talked about a girl who was thirteen and she was raped. She didn't tell anyone and she had never really heard about sex or pregnancy. She didn't know she was pregnant until she went to the hospital when she was having terrible pain in her stomach. She had the baby, but wanted to give it up as soon as possible. But once she saw the baby she knew she needed to keep it and is living great now with the child. Sad story.
