Hopefully I will be getting a tattoo in a few weeks. I really, really want it, so no lectures on, "Remember, this is a permanent choice." I'm pretty good at dealing with pain. (I got my nose pierced) I KNOW a tattoo will hurt somewhat but I don't want to feel like I'm dying. I want to get a small/medium sized rose on my calf. (leg) It could take an hour or more, and I definitely don't want to be in EXCRUCIATING pain for that long, but I really want the tattoo.
Has anyone gotten a tattoo? if so, could you describe what it feels like and how much it hurts? (link)

I got mine on my lower calf, closer to my ankle...it only hurts at first but once your used to it it's just really uncomfortable but it doesn't hurt...sometimes they'll hit a tender spot and that will hurt more...but it's really not incredibly painful...just make sure you bring something to help occupy your time...i suggest a book or a couple of magazines because it feels like it takes forever.

Thank you! You're the first person I've talked to that has had one on their calf. Thanks again & I will plan on bringing a magazine.
