Every person is created to bring glory to God, but we each are created for a very specific purpose in bringing that glory to God.
you said this and i know there are many things like it in the bible....

so does he say this to sound cocky?? sounds like it to me a bit...i've always wondered

so do you believe he made us for company too?? (link)
Well, hi there. You ask very good questions. God isn't cocky. You need to understand that God is holy and perfect and we are not. We are his creation. He is the creator. Often in the bible God is referred to as the potter and we are the clay. What can clay do without the potter dipping his has into the water of love and molding the clay into a beautiful vessel? Nothing. It's just a blob of clay. God is all powerful and loves each of us very much. He loves us with a love that is beyond our understanding. By giving God glory, a person is loving Him back. That forms a relationship. So giving God glory is the ultimate purpose.

Now, because God is holy and perfect and we are not, in order to be able to give God glory, one must accept His gift of grace first. God's gift of grace is Jesus. Jesus died as a sacrifice for every person's sins, but only those who accept Jesus get to have that relationship with God and get to spend eternity in heaven with Him. So yes, He made us for company too. Unfortunately not everyone accepts Jesus. Those who don't miss out on the greatest friendship ever. If you have repented for your sins, and follow Jesus, God promises to reveal His purpose in your life. Have you repented and accepted Jesus as your Savior?
