Do meals made in slow cookers use a lot of electricity when they cook for 8-10 hours?

It depends on what brand you have.
A lot of them heat up and then are just so well insulated that as long as you don't take the cover off it just maintains temperature without electricity. Some cheaper ones just suck more electricity than sluts suck dick. Normally the instruction booklet will tell you. Otherwise you could call/email/check the website of the manufacturer.
