My name is Lyndsey and I'm 17 years old. I live in Lexington, South Carolina. I pride myself on being mature for my age with a good head on my shoulders, but I find I can be snippy when I hear something that just hits a nerve. I have a lot of strong opinions and I have no problem arguing them. I'm a very open-minded person and very tolerant of most things.
Immaturity is a big pet peeve of mine, as is self-centered, narrow-minded, and ignorant people. I can be cruel when it comes to these things, but sometimes certain people need to be told their faults. I know mine and I have no problem being confronted with them. If someone has a problem with me, online or in person, I'd rather they tell me and we can resolve the issue in a mature fashion. I won't tell you want to WANT to hear, just what you NEED to hear.
On a less serious note, I'm a laid back person and I enjoy shopping, the internet, and my favorite TV shows (Queer as Folk, The L Word, Friends, American Idol, Will & Grace, House). I don't have a large group of friends, but the ones I have are close and I love them to death. I generally enjoy life, minus the whole school deal. I'm a junior in high school and I can't wait to move on to college. I am an honors student and I hope to go to the University of South Carolina and then eventually into the medical field, possibly psychology.

Im Thirteen, and im a female.
Im going into 8th grade, and this
guy i like is going into 9th.
We like each other, but im having troubles
trying to get to where I..trust him
I guess you can say. He's had a past
girlfriend, who im very very good friends
with. And they well.. went out for about
two years and had sex. And Me and Him
just recently broke up from like just a one
month relationship, i broke up with him.
And I here him & my friend he had a past
relationship with had started talking,
and said they still love each other,
but im suppose to not know that, so i cant
confront him or her about it. And he says
I love you. And i say i love you too, or
the other way around. All over text.
We do not whatsoever seem to ever talk on
the phone.
So i guess what im asking is,
how do i control all these feelings of
knowing they have a past relationship,
and knowing they have recently talked about
it. Although he says he loves me.
And hes all i think about..

Well one thing to consider is that you both are REALLY young. Some things you have to ask yourself is if you are actually in love with him or if you just like him A LOT. There is a difference, but a lot of people don't realize that until they actually do fall in love.
Well, you could always ask your boyfriend about how he feels about his ex. If he tells you he still has feelings for her, then you can go from there. But if he says he doesn't, I wouldn't worry about it. Most couples, if they actually did love each other, go on loving each other when they split up. Maybe they aren't IN love with each other, but they still love each other a lot. That is perfectly okay.
I wouldn't jump to conclusions or worry too much about it. It's probably nothing. Just go with the flow with your relationship with this guy. Hey, it isn't like you're going to marry him, right? You're not even in high school yet. I think a bigger problem is going to be when he's in HS and you're still in middle school. Seeing each other will become more difficult and you may drift apart because you're basically living in two different worlds.
But for now just have fun with him and don't worry about the ex. Good luck.
