My name is Lyndsey and I'm 17 years old. I live in Lexington, South Carolina. I pride myself on being mature for my age with a good head on my shoulders, but I find I can be snippy when I hear something that just hits a nerve. I have a lot of strong opinions and I have no problem arguing them. I'm a very open-minded person and very tolerant of most things.
Immaturity is a big pet peeve of mine, as is self-centered, narrow-minded, and ignorant people. I can be cruel when it comes to these things, but sometimes certain people need to be told their faults. I know mine and I have no problem being confronted with them. If someone has a problem with me, online or in person, I'd rather they tell me and we can resolve the issue in a mature fashion. I won't tell you want to WANT to hear, just what you NEED to hear.
On a less serious note, I'm a laid back person and I enjoy shopping, the internet, and my favorite TV shows (Queer as Folk, The L Word, Friends, American Idol, Will & Grace, House). I don't have a large group of friends, but the ones I have are close and I love them to death. I generally enjoy life, minus the whole school deal. I'm a junior in high school and I can't wait to move on to college. I am an honors student and I hope to go to the University of South Carolina and then eventually into the medical field, possibly psychology.

Omg! I was wondering, do you know any ways for me to lose about 10 lbs. in about a month? I was asking you because you lost 40 lbs ! Good job by the way. How can i lose the most weight i can in a month? - no more than 14 though. Excercises, foods, ? (link)

Well, I started losing my weight with Atkins. That's a low-carb diet plan in case you don't know. I bought a book on it and followed the rules. I was on it for 4 months and lost 35 lbs of the weight I wanted to lose. Then I went on a low-calorie plan that caused me to lose the last 5 lbs and I've maintained since then.
On Atkins, I lost 8 lbs in the first week and 2 in the second. After that it was anywhere from 1 to 2 lbs each week after that. The best part about it was that I wasn't starving myself!
If you'd like meat, eggs, cheese, and vegetables, Atkins is a good choice whether you want to lose 10 pounds or even 100 pounds and up. If not, you can try low calorie. If you want to go with that (those are the only two I'm an "expert" on), here are a few guidelines.
-8-10 glasses of water a day (IMPORTANT)
-5 small meals a day (it's cliche but it works)
-No less than 1200 calories a day
-Whole grains, vegetables, fruit
-Healthy portions of protein (meat) and dairy (milk, cheese)
-Watch your intake of sugar, sodium, calories, and fat
-Watch your portion sizes! Multiple small meals is better than 1 medium and 2 large meals...trust me.
You shouldn't have any problem losing 10 lbs in a month. If you need any more help, just send me another question. Good luck! :)
