About Raine
Well. My name is Raine. I live in a small town in Nebraska with my wonderful fiance. I have one brother (12), a step-brother (20), and a younger sister (17). I love my family and I also always wanted to give people advice. It takes my mind off my life and I can concentrate on other people's problems.
It's fun to get to talk to other people and give them my opinion. It's also a pretty interesting way to meet people. Also, i'm kind of shy, but some people see me as stuck up and getting to have my own column is a great way for me to work on my social skills!
I hope that someday I make a good impact in someone else's life. I'll do my best to answer your questions and I hope that I can help you work out life's dilemmas in a positive way! I don't sugar-coat things. So if you don't like my advice, tough! I give real and honest answers. Not that fake crap!
I like to write poetry, read, sing, dance, anything artistic or creative, and play board/video games. I love music, poetry, and books. I don't think I could ever give them up! I love meeting and talking to new people and I am up for talking about pretty much anything. So, if you ever just need someone to talk to my messengers are listed so don't hesitate!

please clarify a few things for me about the birth control pill (whether it being a mini pill or the regular pill):
(i know its better to take it at a later age, but i wouldnt desire being a 17 year old mother!)
my mum once told me that if you go on the pill at a young age, you are ment to be taken off it after 20 years usage. if this is true..why?
it can cause inflamed veins in your legs: is this true?
i know some advantages/disvantages of the pill: increae/decrease acne, gain wight, change in moods (depression etc), remember to take it every day, decreases menstural cramps and bleeding and can protct you against diseases such as Pelvic inflammatory disease
if you have any more affects or advantages/disadvantages, notify me.
this seems like the safest birth control method. i dont want to risk damaging my fertility and would like to control my fertility in the future ..if you DO have to be taken off it after 20 years(i'll be 37...a long way off..and i hope to be married with children by then.)
im contemplating this method but would like advice, when i asked my mum a year ago if i could go on it, she said i was too young to go on it for health reasons (which i am NOT aware of) (not because i was too young for sex- although legal )
so any advice from those who are on the pill..or took the pill at a young age would be much appriciated

Well you should make an appointment with a doctor to discuss your options. They can give you loads more info on the subject. I'm not sure if you can do it without a parent, but you might be able to just talk to them about it without a parent. That was probably it for me. I took orthotricyclin.......the ortho low is better for people though. There's tons of different kinds out there though. So, just talk to your doc and your mum about it. The doc can help find one right for you and answer any health questions you and your mom have. GOOD LUCK!!!

im sorry to hear about that..i wish you the best of luck in the future :) as far as i know my mum is pretty fertile, so i might be the same.
as for the moodyness, well im 17 and of course, we're all riding the emotional rollercoaster currently hahaha, but im really sensitive like that in some situations anyhow. well thats good about the inflamed veins...not so good about the infertility though :(
i could be wrong, but seeing as you took the pill early into puberty, it may have increased your emotional tension if you get me...like 16/17 is the worst age for hormones, and the pill didnt help you. well..i hope thats the reason..i dont want to be like that, i get PMT really bad sometimes as it is!
i really dont know what i would try as an alternative, it seems the safest, and i worry too much..if i took the pill id be alot happier knowing im the safest i could be..providing i use it correctly.
which birth control did you use before trying to concieve?
