"Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let the pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness. Take pride that even though the rest of the world may disagree, you still believe it to be a beautiful place."
I'm an optimist. I can find the beauty in anything. I'm creative. I love spontaneity, peace, & parties. I'm the farthest thing from shy. There's not one person on this earth that I don't care about. I like deep conversations, change, & random acts of kindness. Every emotion I feel is ten times as strong as yours. I have alot of empathy for other people. I'm real open minded & liberal. All I want to do is make at least one person's life a little easier. :D

okay, so heres the deal. i always know when im about to get a sore throat, i feel my throat acting weird a few days before, and i get chapped lips. well i got that sign yesterday and its a little worse today, but im not totally sick yet. i have something important to do saturday, so i need something to stall my sore throat until late saturday or something. ive been drinking alot of orange and grapefruit juice for the vitamin C and ive been using chap stick for my lips and everything. i need something to stall/eliminate this cold or whatever it is, so please, if you know anything that will help let me know asap. home remedies are great also! early answers are appreciated
THANK YOU!
i just sort of skimmed through the answers below me looking to see if anyone said this, but i don't think any of them did.
okay, orange juice + a sore throat = pain.
it burns your throat because of some type of acid that's in ti.
milk is also something you shouldn't drink.
it makes the mucus thicken. yes, i know that may sound gross, but you'll live.
i don't know if you've ever heard of this, but there's something called Chamomile tea. it helped if your throat is irrated/hurting.
directions:
steep 1 teaspoon dried chamomile in 1 cup of hot water & strain it. then let it cool to lukewarm and gargle as often as you need to.
vitamin C tablets are also good to take because it builds up your tissues to fight the germs that are making your throat sore.
throw away or wash your tooth brush in the dish washer because it keeps the germs in there & everytime you put it in your mouth, that's where the germs go -- to your mouth.
(Rating: 5) thankss! finally, someone told me! i just drank like 2 gallons of orange juice (no lie) in the past 3 days. hahah
