Q: I love my cat dearly but he keeps spraying in my closet. it stinks so bad, any advice on how to get him to stop, and why he does it ??

Maybe you could try shutting your closet door, eh?
He probably did it once, and then went back there and smelled the odor from the previous time, and then did it again. Try cleaning the whole area with bleach, if he can't smell it, he probably won't do it again.
