Hi, my names Melanie.
I'm fifteen years old.
I love fashion, hanging out with my friends,
and drawing and writing along with a bunch of other stuff.
I used to have an old account here that was quite known for awhile,
but I sort of just lost touch with it,
so I decided to make a new one.
I'll try and help you the best I can,
just hopefully I didn't lose touch with my good advice, haha.
And feel free to IM me with your problem too.
I also put my myspace in a link down below,
if you ever want to add me & talk.
But incase you don't see it or something, it's:

14/f Ok so there is this guy that i really like, and we are pretty close friends. The winter snowball dance is coming up, and i was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to ask him to go to it with me, even if we just went as friends. Or should i wait for him to ask me? (link)

Never wait around for him to ask you. Because you don't know his feelings for you, you don't know if he has feelings for someone else, so if you just sit there and wait, it might never happen.
Also, if you were to make the first move, it shows confidence, which is something alot of girls lack, and can be a real turn on for guys and an attention-grabber. Guys like it sometimes whenever the girl makes the first move instead of them doing it all the time.
I would just bring up the dance with him while you two are having a conversation, and just ask him if he's thinking about asking anybody, or already has a date or not. ( If he says no ), then just casually be like,"Oh, me either. Well, hey, since we both don't have dates or anything, do you think you'd want to go together? :)" And just smile. If he starts taking it as a date thing, then you can always add the term "just as friends".
If he says yes, however, then just be like,"Oh, that's cool. Who're you going with? Do you think you could save me a dance? :)" And try and make sure at the dance that it's a slow one ; sets a more romantic mood, and it's easier to talk to eachother and flirt and you two being real close to eachother.
And then just have a great time together and hang out and try even flirtng with him to send him some slight signals that you're interested in him and see what he does back.
I hope I helped.
