Q: Only one way to say it: I AM SUPER SHY!!! when someone i don't know comse up to me and says hi (kid or adult) if they older than me, I freeze up. If they are younger, i don't. I guess thats because I'm older......
Even older people (people in their 60's) make me shy, really shy.
Some things though, like the cashier at a resturaunt, im not shy at all. I doin't get it.
NOw, to the question:
Are there any ways I can help myself be less shy around new friends/people?
You need to get this idea out of your head that you are shy. The more you think you are shy, the more you will be shy... its a self-fulfilling prophesy. Convince yourself your confident and that they are people just like you. Just try to pretend you are the same age as them, or older. If you imagine they are younger then you will feel more confident when takling to them.
Force yourself to do it, it will pay off!
Good Luck hun
