Please answer only if you have experince in ballet or know someone who does...
I am a female, age 14, and I weigh 140lbs (about). Do you think I am too fat to do pointe work? Am I too fat to have a partner? What can I do to ensure that I will be able to start pointe in the fall? (I have to please my teacher and it is totally her choice wether or not I can take pointe) Do you think I need to loose weight for this? Thank you so much

well, this may not be the answer that you want to hear, but you should lose a little bit of wiegiht. ballerinas need to be light (like around 110 pounds at 14 y.o) but that doesnt mean go anorexic, jsut start eating healthier and doing more excersizes. unless a lot of you weight is muscle weight, youll need to lose about 15-30 pounds :(
