Hey... I'm 15... recently I shoplifted and was caught. I was told it wasn't concidered a "felony" because it wasn't over $400. It would go on my record as pety theft and my mom would be fined. ...Well when I'm 16 I want to get a job but... is it going to be difficult (or harder) with pety theft on my record? I was told that when I'm 18 I can 'seal my record'. For now... is the pety theft thing going to be looked at when I apply for a job? Has anybody ever been caught shoplifting? if you have, does it make it harder to find a job? or some jobs like wokring in a mall or department store or any store? Well thanks for your time in reading this.

Actually everyone who gave you advice must not realy have a job because when you put in an application somewhere they ask you if you have ever cimmited a FELONY not a crime a FELONY and since you didn't commit a FELONY you have nothing to worry about. I've worked at 3 different places a fast food place a restaurant and a bar and i did applications for every single one of them and it asks you if you've ever commited a FELONY not a crime...people these days :::sighs:::
