Uh, lessee....Im 18 years old and I live in Scottsdale, Arizona. Im 5'1" and proud to be short ^^. Im a senior at Saguaro High School, though upon graduation I fully intend on going to Greystone University in Nappa, California. I want to be a pastry chef, and Greystone is extremely prestigious within the culinary world. Otherwise it wouldnt surprise me youve never heard of it. Im probably the biggest geek youll ever meet. Im a huge anime freak, I probably the foremost knowledge on the X-men out of all of my friends, though I love all Marvel. I heart Harry Potter. I spend whatever free time I have that Im not with my friends Role Playing online, as I am also a writer and find this an extremely usefull and entertaining excersise, and Im proud to be all of these things. hey im a guy...and no im not planning on getting an abortion. i was just wondering something: why is it that girls/women abort children instead of adopt them? i know there are plenty of reasons why, but is there one (or more) that would overshadow the case of giving birth then putting the baby up for adoption. looking for a girls point of view on this, because even if the girl didn't want the baby, would there be something wrong in giving it away instead of killing it? thanks, will rate. There are many many different circumstances, and its wrong to say its entirely "selfish". Sure, some women have purely selfish reasons. Maybe it was a completely unplanned pregnanacy and they dont want to ruin their figure. As much as I hope that wasnt the case, it probably has been before.
The other thing you said that really grated on me was "they put themselves into that situation." What if it was a rape victim? They have no control over that, and honnestly I would never want a child from such a horrible experiance. Its not fair to either the mother or the child. Can you imagine that baby growing up? "Mommy, who was my daddy?" "A sleezy predator that raped me." I dont think so.
And what about a child thats going to be born with major birth defects? It would be cruel to ask that child to live in that state or amount of pain for the rest of its life. Abortion isnt a black and white subject, thats why its so controversial. You cant lump reasons into little categories like you tried too. There are thousands of reasons, with thousands of answers.
